Why choose a tour?

Sit back, relax and let someone else do the driving for you. Australia is a vast continent with some tough terrain, driving distances can involve up to 950 kilometres a day. With this in mind, it is best to let an experienced driver guide take you to some of the country's most beautiful places. On tour you can also enjoy informative commentary about the places you visit and delve into the history and culture of the places you explore.

Travel in style

Whether you're looking for a full tour that covers a lot of ground or a quick getaway that lets you explore one area, Pinnacle has a tour that's perfect for you. Depending on which tour style you choose you will travel in either luxury coach, luxury 4wd or more intimate minivans and small 4wds. All are modern, air-conditioned and offer good leg room.

Luxury day tours
Day tours are the ideal way to get a taste of what a region has to offer. Enjoy specific experiences close to a central city, or just get away from it all when you're short on time. Wherever you choose to go, you will travel in luxury and enjoy a genuine 5-star experience. Our vehicles are designed for extra comfort and come standard with on-board rest rooms (not guaranteed in Broome), large deluxe fabric reclining seats, panoramic windows and airconditioning.

Deluxe multi-day tours
If you're looking for a more indepth experience, deluxe multi-day tours are ideal. Using purpose-built coaches or large 4WD vehicles, these tours access more remote locations to ensure you can experience not just the amazing iconic destinations (though we visit them, too), but also the out-the-way places and hidden gems that make these tours truly special.

Deluxe small group tours
These small-group tours have a maximum of 16 people, so they are perfect for those seeking an intimate environment to connect with likeminded travellers. These tours offer 4-star accommodation in the Red Centre, South Australia and New Zealand.

Safari tours
For those looking for a small-group, more active tour that's good on price, Safari tours are the way to go. Travelling in a small purpose-built 4WD, these tours explore more remote locations, with accommodation at permanent campsites and superior food and wine. The campsites feature comfortable tents with wooden floors, permanent beds, full linen and towels, bedside lights and fans, and shared bathroom/toilet facilities. The menus feature healthy, quality produce and Australian wines. And to ensure all guests receive extra-attentive service, when numbers exceed 6, a host is provided to assist your guide.

Custom tours
Pinnacle Tours also offers charter and private tours. An exclusive itinerary can be designed to suit your group's interests, age range and fitness levels. An experienced guide and the perfect vehicle will then be allocated.

Western Australia

Imagine pristine white beaches, aqua blue oceans, towering old growth forests, ancient gorges and wild dolphins who interact with humans as if they were old friends. Welcome to the awe inspiring natural beauty of Western Australia. The capital city of Perth has a friendly and laidback atmosphere, with a small population of approximately 1.38 million this is the perfect destination to relax and enjoy a holiday without crowds.

Northern Territory

From the tropical coastline of Darwin to the striking deserts of the Red Centre, the Northern Territory is a state with spectacular visual delight. Perfect for a quintessential Australian outback experience and home to the World Heritage listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta and Kakadu National Parks, this is an area rich in cultural and natural treasures.

South Australia

South Australia is a state blessed with a stunning array of green hills, vast outback terrain and a picturesque coastline. The capital city of Adelaide is a vibrant hub with a range of Victorian architecture, lush green parks and excellent inner-city shopping. South Australia is also home to the famous Barossa and Clare Valleys, better known as the home of some of Australia's best known wines. Kangaroo Island is renowned as one of Australia's leading wildlife playgrounds with koalas, kangaroos, and seals guaranteed to be seen, and other animals on parade. For those that love their bushwalking the Flinders Ranges is unparalleled, with many vast gorges and views.

New Zealand

New Zealand has one of the most spectacular landscapes on the planet. With vast mountain ranges, steaming volcanoes, sweeping coastlines, deeply indented fiords, glaciers and lush rainforests, all possible to see within a couple of weeks touring. Comparable in size to Great Britain, Colorado or Japan, New Zealand has a population of only 4 million people, making it one of the world's least populated countries. This overwhelming space and solitude allowing peace, rejuvenation and relaxation, combined with a multitude of adventure activities, provides a playground for thrill seekers and adventurers alike. A temperate climate with relatively small seasonal variation makes it an ideal year-round holiday destination.
